Zuhair Murad Haute Couture F/W 2014-2015 Collection

Beirut’s new architectural skyline comprising buildings designed by acclaimed architects such as Herzog & de Meuron, Norman Foster, Steven Holl and Zaha Hadid are the inspiration behind this new collection by the Lebanese designer.
Precious and luxurious, gowns displays elegant, classic and sophisticated designs in which beaded and sequined embellishment in the shape of geometric shapes, waves and organic patterns take centre stage. Graphics are spot on as they follow harmoniously the structure of the garments, their asymmetric draping and fluid lines.
The dress length was mini and maxi. The colors most used were white, black, peacock, azalea, carbon paper blue, vermillion, turquoise, silver, ice and concrete. The preferred materials were silk, chiffon, sequins, summer wool, satin, organdie, shantung, beads. The most prominent shapes of this collection were slim, sheaths, corolla and hour-glass shapes, asymmetric and draped. The most widely used accessories were thin belts with bejeweled buckle and pointy pumps.
