Dolce & Gabbana presented last weekend in the legendary Teatro alla
Scala de Milan their s/s 2015 Alta Moda collection, an extravagant
ballet-inspired show that made an excellent follow-up to their previous
Alta Moda presentations in Sicily, Venice and Capri.
While Stefano Gabbana has a love of the opera, Domenica Dolce prefers
the ballet, and together the decedent duo behind the Italian fashion
house put together an Alta Moda presentation that combined both beauty,
dance, opera, and couture.Held over the course of three days in Milan, the Alta Moda spectacle
started with a showcase of Dolce & Gabbana high jewellery, inspired
by fruit and flowers as they were shown in individual cabins filled with
vegetation.
The next day, ballet star Roberto Bolle kicked off (or piquéd off), the
women’s show as he took a beautiful leap in front of ballerinas,
bouquets of roses, and an elite group of editors, and family friends of
the brand – all while music from Tchaikovsky and Bizet Bizet’s filled
the air at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala.
