With the
holiday season fast approaching, cosmetics brands are presenting special
collections brimming with festive colors and shimmer.
DIOR is no
exception to the rule, and its new Golden Shock collection celebrates all that
glitters. The line’s new lip colors introduce an interesting concept: two-sided
lipstick. One side is matte and the other is enhanced with golden shimmer
particles, allowing you to play with different effects (Diorific Golden Shock
Lipstick, Euro 30 ($38), six shades).
Makeup
artists can apply both sides of the lipstick to the entire mouth (matte first,
shimmer on top), apply the matte color to one lip and shimmer to the other, or
bring out the inner lips by applying shimmer to the part.
For those
who prefer a gloss, there are also two new shades: Pink Excess and Gold Rain
(Dior Addict Gloss, Euro 24 ($29.50).
Dior also
wants to bring a touch of gold to manicures this season, namely through the
Golden Shock top coat with a gold leaf effect.
There are
also four new base shades: Gold Equinoxe (shimmery gold), Shock, (bright red),
Mirror (pearly white) and Smoky (dark purple) (Diorific Nail Enamel and Top
Coat, Euro 22 ( $27).
To frame
the windows to the soul, the collection also includes a new gold mono eyeshadow Diorshow Fusion Mono, Mirror, Euro 25 ($31) and two five-shade eye palettes, both
including gold shades of course.
The Golden
Reflections palette includes steel grey, bronze, lavender and beige, while the
Golden Shock palette offers dark plum, pink and mauve (5 Couleurs Eyeshadow
Palettes, Euro 48 ($60).
Finally,
the gold theme carries over to the complexion in two pressed powder compacts
with a rose gold or yellow gold shimmer (Diorific Illuminating Pressed Powder, Euro 64 ($80), Gold Shock and Pink Shock).
The Dior
Golden Shock collection is available now at select retailers and at Dior
